hotpoint wd860 graphite washer/ dryer

- Pros: looks nice and easy to programme
- Cons: worst appliance of any kind i've ever purchased
bought above washer/dryer in april 2007 and firstly it didn't seem to wash that well and far from being ' super silent ' the noise of the 1600 spin has my neighbours reaching for the pitchforks and torches before they form themselves into a ravening mob.

- Pros: Lights up the utility quite well
- Cons: Endless
This is by far the worst household item we have bought in 22years of marriage. The dryer has gone 3 times, the display failed and was replaced and it makes more noise than the 19 year old washer it replaced. Hotpoint could not be less interested in the problems if they tried.

- Cons: Never Works
First machine loud knocking noise after 5th wash, after 3 attempts at repair informed bearings had gone new machine delivered AND after 6th wash loud knocking noise, the day I was going to ring for repair the machine died and would not even switch on.

- Pros: large dryer capacity?
- Cons: does not work reliably
Just avoid these half-made machines! Breaks down regularly. Does not have a way to clean any filters. Ours makes a terrible noise. 6 engineer visits at least in three years! Steam comes out of it while working! Door is unreliable/unopennable even after an engineer "fixed" it. Read Full Review »

- Cons: machine breaks down frequently, warranty on product insufficient
Please beware of this machine - I have had 3 major breakdowns, 1st being upon delivery, 2nd & 3rd on the dryer, like the 1st review, yes steam escapes from the dispenser drawer and rubs the writing off the drawer front - have had that replaced twice now and also wording on programme end...eventually will not be able to read programmes. Also fascia panel is distorting from the heat of the tumbledry... Read Full Review »
