Don't be seduced by the sexy blue light... it's a nightmare!

Pros: Looks nice & very quiet
Cons: Very unreliable. Fast spin & sensordry creases & toasts your clothes

I'll never, ever have a Hotpoint again after six months, five Hotpoint engineers, two blown up machines and a total of 9 weeks of going to the laundrette.

Admittedly it looks nice and it seems to be the best specced machine out there for the price... but there's a reason for that. Like the seals around the drum not being good enough to keep water from dribbling down the inside of the back of the machine onto all the circuitboards below... genius!

The washing cycle is impressively quiet but the 1600rpm spin is too fast for clothes (towels OK) - everything comes out creased and the sensor dry (even on hanging dry setting with cottons on the cool drying setting) toasted EVERYTHING.

Even the Hotpoint service engineer (almost on first name terms with him now) said "get a Bosch" when he gave me my uplift note for my 3 month old replacement so I could finally get a refund.... and some clean clothes.

Save yourself a lot of hassle and go for substance over style.
