Hotpoint WD860
By Amanda Lavery (23/12/2008)
- Pros: It looks nice and was easy to use
- Cons: Only lasted 2 years and cost £500! Not really value for money.
We have had this washer dryer for nearly 2 years and here i am 2 days before christmas searching for a new washing machine. A total waste of money and will never buy a hotpoint product again.

By daz corbett (31/03/2008)
- Pros: none
- Cons: very very noisy when spinning

Hotpoint WD860
By Anonymous (14/10/2007)
- Pros: It looks good and has a child lock button
- Cons: It breaks down more than it works
This has to be a complete waste of money, it just never works, i couldnt count how many times i have been stuck with a broken washing machine. It has blew my electricity and broken down on a 95 deg wash which nearly burned my son and hotpoint always try to make you think its your fault, it is realy bad i cant put mine on at night because it wakens my kids and i thought that because it was expensiv...

Hotpoint WD860
By Simon Mills (23/08/2007)
- Pros: Looks nice & very quiet
- Cons: Very unreliable. Fast spin & sensordry creases & toasts your clothes
I'll never, ever have a Hotpoint again after six months, five Hotpoint engineers, two blown up machines and a total of 9 weeks of going to the laundrette.
Admittedly it looks nice and it seems to be the best specced machine out there for the price... but there's a reason for that. Like the seals around the drum not being good enough to keep water from dribbling down the inside of the back...

Hotpoint WD860
By Stephen Little (08/08/2007)
- Pros: One day I might laugh about it
- Cons: You name it
After a short while...It sounded like a jet powered cement mixer churning bolts. Clothes come out looking like an accordion. I was embarrased to even turn it on, it could be heard down the street. Takes forever to do a wash/dry. Heater thermostat continually needed replaced. Service engineers seemed to be in denial of problems. Eventually the weight on the top of the machine crumbled and killed th...
