    • Pros: Energy efficiency
    • Cons: Numerous - Unreliable and programs are too complicated

    I bought this machine because of its high energy efficiency. This was a huge mistake. Worst problems encountered as follows:
    1) loads can wrinkle clothes beyond recognition
    2) button to switch spin speed does not indicate what speed has been selected
    3)programs are much more complicated than Bosch or Whirlpool machines - some progams require manually pressing a button to complete.

    • Cons: Where to start????

    Hotpoint (Indesit are their parent company) will sell you their product through MFI and when the machine breaks, AND IT WILL, they will:

    A: Send an engineer out (at their convienience not yours).
    B: Tell you it must be your fault it's broken.
    C: Begrudgingly fix it (although this will take 4 visits - again at their convienience)

    • Pros: Easy to Use and Install, Really Quiet, Cleans & Drys Well
    • Cons: No countdown timer

    Been using this for a month now, very impressed. It really is super silent. There is every program you could need. The Delay Start option is rather useful. It cleans and dries really well.

    Isn't the best looking machine out there, but perfectly fine and as it's integrated who cares. Only con I can think of is that there is no countdown of cleaning/drying time remaining.

    I had this brand new appliance fitted into my new kitchen 11 months ago. Three weeks ago it filled my kitchen with smoke. I phoned Hotpoint's customer service to be told it would out of guarantee as I had bought it in October 2005 but hadn't installed it until December, therefore it was out of guarantee!
