    I have a Kirby machine that cost nearly five times the cost of the Sebo . The Kirby does very good job, but very heavy and no on board attachments which means constant changing of heads. For this reason I have a 2nd machine for daily hoovering. I have tried Hoover, Dyson, Oreck, Panasonic and what a waste of money they have all been.     • Pros: excellent cleaning, long stair hose attachment
    • Cons: it is heavy to carry upstairs

    This is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever had. Its now over 3 years old and cleans as excellently as ever. I use mine on carpets and hard floors with the same brilliant results.

    • Pros: Excellent for picking up pet hairs from carpets. Very maneuverable
    • Cons: No hard floor brush as standard. Heavy to carry upstairs

    Having done an internet search for reviews of vacuum cleaners I had a very short list of potential models to buy. I needed an upright cleaner, because it sits in a corner of the room and a cylinder is just too messy to have hanging around.
