      iRobot Roomba

      Pros: Smart machine, good clean, not too loud.

      Cons: A little temperamental at times, not deep enough clean

      Verdict: As a piece of modern technology it's a great talking piece for the home but if a powerful deep vacuum is required, the little Roomba might not be right for the job.

    One less chore to do!

    • Pros: Switch it on and leave it to get on with it.
    • Cons: You have to keep wires off the floor.

    As with any rechargeable battery, it's vital to resist the urge to play with it before giving it a full initial 16 hour charge.
    Compared to normal vacuum cleaners it's very quiet in operation yet surprisingly powerful for such a small cleaner.
    Works equally well on carpets, rugs and wooden / laminate floors and cleans right up to the wall.

    I love my Roomba

    • Pros: it vacuums for you - need i say more!
    • Cons: ensuring no obstacles on the floors

    best thing I ever bought!
    I have a bungalow with laminate floors and the roomba does my whole house!
    It has good suction and picks up loads - we have 2 shedding Jack Russell Terriers - and its a godsend for dog hairs! It also gets under the bed and other furniture and if you leave it be it will clean the entire room. It can be frustrating see it "miss" bits you can see, but if you leave... Read Full Review »
