    The ONE to avoid

    • Pros: erm? long reach with the hose
    • Cons: just about everything else

    The machine is noisey, heavy, not particularly manouverable and suffers from frequent technical failures. The motor has packed up on ours a little outside the 12 month guarantee period. We will not be getting another ONE. It's 1800 watt motor certainly sucks up the dirt, as well as electricity. Just switch it on and watch your meter whizz round.     the engine has just caught fire on mine, and let's put it this way, i will not buy HOOVER ever again. this was actually the second one, after my original purchase was replaced following numerous problems with the wheels, filters etc. aftersale service is a nightmare, so i'm now looking for best vacuum around!     Waste of money

    Bought this vac and it needed a replacement motor within one year. It is large, unwieldy, difficult to push around,noisy, and not built with the customer in mind. The fabric around the edge of the attachment fell off, the attachments won't stay in place, the flex comes out of the vac at the right hand side and gets in the way (should have been from the left as most people are right handed). ...     pile of Junk

    • Cons: Everything else

    I have called Hoover 5 times to fix it ,filter keeps popping out,motor belt broke ,brush stopped turning ... got a new replacement and after exactly 19 days the new one broke down,stuck on hard floor mode and the filter again is coming out of its place .the 2nd replacement on the way.

    The One Pet (to avoid)

    • Pros: Silver is a nice colour
    • Cons: It's utter rubbish

    The first one lasted 30 mins but it was replaced by the retailer, (wished I got a refund) The second is as all the other victims here. In 2 months it overheats, cuts off after 15 mins, bits fall off, clips snapped off and keeps blocking up...with DOG HAIR! Surely that's what it was designed for? Overall completely unfit for purpose.
