Great Vacumm that sucks so good!!!

By Anonymous (18/11/2006)
  • Pros: Powerful, ease of use, bagless, simple
  • Cons: The price (but you get what you pay for).

I've owned this vacuum for 2 months now and it never ceases to amaze me how excellent it cleans the carpet. My last vacuum before I purchased this Dyson All Floors was a Bissell Power Force and though at the time I thought my old vacuum did a great job, I had to keep replacing the belt. When that vacuum finally died, I finally decided I was going to get the Dyson.

I'm not the type that likes to spend a lot of money on vacuums so naturally when I saw the $400 plus price tag, I was at first, a bit hesitant but then I thought to myself "Why not?"

When I got the vacuum home, the set up was very easy. Everything just clicked into place and I would say it took me a few minutes to figure out how things worked. The canister is very easy to empty with just a push of a trigger. The hose attachment took a little getting used to but once I got it down, it was a non issue. The hose extends to 17 ft so if you have stairs, this is very convenient. I also liked the length of the power cord so I don't have to unplug and plug in a different socked each time I need to vacuum a different area.

What amazed me the most was the suction power and wow did it remove a lot of dirt, dust, lint, human hair as well as bigger pieces of debris on the carpet. I was horrified to see the amount of debris it removed with just vacuuming the living room. I had to empty the cannister twice! The best part is, it never lost suction, even when the cannister was full. It does live up to it's claim!

Another thing I want to mention is the weight. A lot of reviewers seem to have an issue with the weight but I'm a tiny person and I found this vacuum to be light and very easy to maneuver.

Overall and excellent vacuum! I actually look forward to vacuuming more now than I ever did before.
I highly recommend it. Yes it's not cheap but...you get what you pay for, and then some.
