    Terrible!

    The sensor on this drier doesn't work, there is no point setting it on the sensor programme at all!
    As soon as the the warranty ran out it started to play up, tripping out the electrics in my house.
    An electrician tried to fix it but less than a week after it has gone again!
    Just ordered a new one, needless to say it isn't a hotpoint! Read Full Review »

    major electrical problems

    I bought my CTD40 on 15th July. 1st machine replaced within a week as the lights were on - it was faulty - didn't work at all.
    Machine 2 had 7 engineer calls to it - it kept cutting out and cutting off the electric.
    Machine 3 was delivered mid december, the driver cannot have got to the top of the road when I rang Hotpoint to say it was rattling like mad!

    Poor design of swicthes

    I have owned my CTD40 for just over a year during which time I called out the engineer as the "Start/Cancel" and "On/Off" switches kept jamming - I couldn't get it to start. Engineer repaired it but it hasn't never been right from day one. Switches jammed again yesterday and it is now out of the guarantee period. The Hotpoint cutomer service desk suggested I tried to ...     I rue the day i bought this

    my machine was bought in April and broke down on the 12 September - in the past two months I have had seven visits by various hotpoint engineers it still doesn't work (one guy managed to get it working for a few days).
