Don't touch this oven with a bargepole

  • Pros: When the Genus function works it's fantastic, but it's VERY unreliable
  • Cons: This cooker just doesn't work half the time!

We bought this cooker 4 months ago and have had the engineer out 4 times to fix it and are onto our 3rd cooker. When it works it's great, but we've had endless problems with it. The way it's designed seems to be really unstable - really tiny things can make the whole cooker cease to work. When the engineer leaves the house everything seems fine and then a day later it's not working again. I don't know if we've just been excessively unlucky or if they still need to put a lot more work into getting this right.
When the Genus function is working it's great - but at the moment, with our brand new cooker (installed 2 days ago), it isn't working at all...
The other drawbacks are that the top oven is really tiny, and regularly burns food (I think it is basically just a grill rather than a real oven), the grill pan is made of really flimsy material and buckles (we've had 3 now, all of which have buckled), and unless you use the fan setting on the main oven, again anything near the top of the oven just burns, as it seems just to be a grill. A real pity!!
