Positive review of the Hotpoint BD32 Double oven

  • Pros: Clean; stylish, efficient; does what it says
  • Cons: Buttons for the timer etc need a good push to get them working

Provided by the insurance company after a fire; GBP75 excess for a GBP300-plus oven seems a good deal! Initial burning smell (from the lining - we were warned about this) rapidly cleared, to give us an excellent double oven for years to come.
Extended warranty (GBP104 for four years "all-in" after the end of the first year warranty) seems good value - BUT can Hotpoint legally insist that ONLY THEY can do the repairs?? What about EU competition laws?
