    Fire hazard confirmed

    • Pros: Not all the kitchen destroyed
    • Cons: Fire hazard

    See earlier reviews - I can confirm that Hotpoint dishwashers do catch fire. Mine was not the model listed in the earlier review it was a BFV68. But I imagine the smoke is just the same! Clearly a generic fault, so it would seem possible that all Hotpoint dishwashers are deathtraps.
    Nobody hurt in this case, but significant damage to the kitchen

    dishwasher's life span

    • Pros: nice size dishwasher
    • Cons: possible fire hazard!!!!

    we have had this dishwasher since Nov 2005, had not let us down until now. when it has now decided to cause an electrical fire, luckily for us we do have an automatic cut off switch in our fuse box, bit scarey though. has anyone else had this problem??? Read Full Review »
