Miele Premier 520 -

I had read up about Miele alot before jumping into a purchase of this magnitude. The brochures promised an excellent, reliable machine and its certainly that...and more! The only thing you hear from the machine when its washing is the clothes and water sloshing about inside, when its spinning, even at 1500rpm its VERY quiet and doesnt move, even with the heaviest load it barely shakes! Easy to use, simply switch the dial to the clearly marked programme of choice, select any options by pressing the buttons, all of which have lights to tell you if they've been selected then press the start button and away it goes! Many machines these days have sensitive spin balance sensors and namby pamby ways of washing your clothes but a Miele just gets on with it, it doesnt sit around, it does the job and does the job well! my model features a handwash programme which gently rocks the delicates back and fourth, easier (and cheaper) than washing them all by hand, The Honeycomb drum assures no damage occuring. I regularly wash a duvet in this machine and it handles it with ease! My family and friends have all commented on how good the machine is but, as with many people, sigh at the price but believe me, these machines are worth every penny! The average washing machine lasts 4 years, at a cost of approx £300 per machine, over 20 years you'd pay around £1500 on washing machines (plus any repairs needed) yet £500-£800 will buy you a top notch Miele that will last, and probably out last the 20 years as thats what they're designed to! The company offer great gurantees on their appliances because they are confident of their build and engineering quality. Cant praise the machine, or the brand up enough!! Go for it and treat yourself...you won't be disappointed!
